Bypasses for Bypass

As many of you have noticed, construction has started on Bypass with the removal of many large, lovely tress. Starting next week, October 4th, Bypass will be one lane. It's time to start finding bypasses for the Bypass!

Here is the press release from IU with some suggested routes to and from campus: http://www.indiana.edu/~bypass/

It will be a long 2 years until this is done, so we have lots of time to find all the alternative routes across town. May I recommend going south? With West 3rd also under construction, that may be the best way to go west.

UPDATE: As has been pointed out, the information has not been updated with the current construction timeline. If anyone has current information, please pass it along.

MCPL Bookmobile

A message from the Monroe County Public Library regarding Bookmobile:

I work in the Outreach Department of the Monroe County Public Library. I drive the Thursday night Bookmobile route during which we visit University School from 5:05pm-6pm. We’re looking for new ways to publicize our services and I see that your neighborhood is right across the street. I’m wondering if you might be able to put a blurb about the Bookmobile in your newsletter or blog.

Thanks for any support you might be able to offer!

IU Football traffic patterns

Many streets around the stadium area will be one-way before, during and after IU football games. Here is a map of the traffic plan along with information on the various gates.

Please note that the plan is the same as for last year despite construction on the 45/46 Bypass.
